About the client

Walking With The Wounded provides vulnerable veterans’ independence through employment. The charity supports ex-servicemen and women who have been physically, mentally or socially disadvantaged by their service and assists them in gaining independence through new long-term careers outside of the military. This includes providing support to homeless veterans and veterans in the Criminal Justice System, areas which are too often ignored. The outcome? Sustainable employment, and independence for them and their families.


A key part of Walking With the Wounded’s fundraising strategy is engaging supporters through fundraising events. The charity needed a centralised event registration software platform to manage their events and fundraising online, as well as a bespoke sign up journey for their team events.


WWTW needed a platform which would:

  • Improve efficiency
  • Provide custom data capture
  • Enable immediate access to funds

Group events

Nutickets helped to take the charity's team events to the next level with a new registration platform for their popular Cumbrian Challenge and the annual Walking Home For Christmas campaign. With the help of our custom solution, fundraising Captains were able to create their own walking events, and accept Walkers to join their teams. What's more, our all-in-one solution offered the option to pre-purchase Supporter Packs during the registration process.

Fundraising tools

Nutickets integrated with the charity’s fundraising partner Virgin Money Giving to provide a streamlined donor journey by automatically creating fundraising pages, which could be easily shared amongst friends and family. This improved donor registration journey helped Walking With The Wounded boost their fundraising to maximise their return on investment from their events.

Data capture

WWTW was able to build their own donor data base with custom data capture forms. This powerful data enabled the charity to reach out to their loyal supporters to build long-term relationships and encourage them to take part in future events.
